You have found the most comprehensive program for upgrading your knowledge, approach and enjoyment of the sun salutation. Over 5 weeks with Ona Hawk, you will be introduced to the ancient African system of yoga and the symbolic relevance of the Sun in practice and healthy living. Each week will build progressively from basics to advancement in the safest way for each student.

Oct 1: Introduction to Kemetic Sun Salutation
Learn the basic elements of the Kemetic Salutation including the symbolic meaning of the sequence and its benefits, proper breathing techniques, and break-down of how to move in and out of each posture safely and to encourage healing.
Oct 8: Strengthening Sun Salutations
Apply Kemetic Yoga theory for alignment, stability and stamina such as using the breath for mobility, for maintaining spiritual balance and constant state of ease. Build lasting strength through exploring your physical and mental challenges.
Oct 15: Connecting through Sun Salutations
Establish a personalized, holistic connection with this sacred sequence through fusing meditation with your most comfortable level of physical practice. Open yourself to the Spirit which guides your body and toward your own wellness.
Oct 22: Integrating Sun Salutations
Explore integrating both Kemetic and Hatha systems of the Sun Salutation for a complete body and mind practice, and a global perspective of the unity between ancient times, places, people, cultures and healing sciences.
Oct 29: Advancing Sun Salutations
Build your body and mind up together to meet the demands for moving yourself into advanced variations of the Sun Salutation. Maintain sights on humility self-transcendence as you go after achieving your highest goals and potential.
